Behind this door
I used to live.
Minimalist it was,
before I knew the term.
A carpet remnant
on the floor,
and a few kitty cats
to keep me warm.
In the unheated room
behind this door.
A desk, a chair,
a dresser and a bed.
A bed made daily
to lay my weary head.
Around me was
chaos and clutter
and dysfunction.
But behind this door
was a clean and
cozy spot;
that allowed me
to function.
